You are definitely not forbidden to use colors other than white & blue... In fact, you could use browns & grays for the larger pieces like the sofa, but try to keep the rest of the items light. If you want to add more color - coral is a great accessory for nantucket style so you could bring reds into the accessories and coral prints on the throw pillows. if you want to go bold on the sofa, i'd say the boldest I'd go is chocolate brown with everything else really light but then hints of chocolate elsewhere to tie in the sofa. or a vintage leather sofa could also work... hope that helps!
